I want to do this as cheap as possible. I'd like to mount a nylon UTG style holster to the frame of my bed, but it needs to be big enough to accomodate my Springfield XD with a tactical light on the rail.

Any suggestions on a particular model of holster with the build of the UTG, but big enough to accomodate a pistol with a light on the rail?

Thanks in advance.

It would help to know if your XD model is 4 or 5" barrel. And which light you have mounted. I have a few in mind that I used to use but depends on the light size.

The light is a large (for mounting) aluminum jobber that I've attached with a mount. It sticks out a good bit ahead of the pistol, but functions fine while firing.

I don't think that was the type of detail herrwalther was looking for.

Is it a Surefire or Streamlight? Do you have a model number?

Is it a 4 D-cell Maglite attached with duct tape?

If it is a name brand light such as Surefire, Streamlight, Viridian, or Crimsontrace, finding a holster will probably be a bit easier than a off the shelf light from Wal-Mart of Bass Pro.

It's a Bubba job, but it's solid enough to function. So... It's an aluminum LED flashlight that is mounted with a scope style rail mount to my XD subcompact (3 inch) rail.

I suppose I could take a pic and some measurements. If you know of any model nylon UTG style holsters that accomodate a flashlight, that would be great.

The flashlight actually extend about 2 inches beyond the muzzle of the pistol. I really just need something big and bulky to secure it to the bedframe.
