I have some binoculars on the way for this hunting season.

Can any of you recommend a good set of straps??

I have seen some on the hunting shows that are like a harness that holds the binoculars close to your chest but allow you to easily grab them and bring them up to look through them. But I don't know who makes em'.

Keeps em secure but accessible.

Lets hear your experience and recomendations!

Thanks!!:D

the harness type that you speak of is the kind i've evolved to. really like 'em.

cabela's carries 'em. under $20, and is a good price for eliminating neck fatigue, and to not have a pendulum around your neck.

Another recommendation for the harness type. Besides Cabela's, Wal-mart and Sportsman Warehouse also carry them. K-mart may have them too.

I like the idea of the harness type but haven't used them. I use a Vero Vellini (sp?) soft neoprene strap with my stieners. I want to be able to get OUT of them easily while bowhunting and on occaision I need to belly crawl. doesn't do to have them skidding along under my chest.

Kingcreek,

With the bino harness type systems all you have to do is disconnect the bino from the harness via two plastic retainer clips. Check them out, they may still suit your purposes.

I've always used a long strap. I loop it over my right shoulder, with the binocs hanging on my left side, about the base of my ribcage. They don't bump, aren't in the way of anything, and they're easy to slide up to use.

Cheap, too. :)
