They worked real good in the war, and for guys like Bill Hickok. I'm pretty sure he knew what he was doing.

Speaking of .36 caliber, UPS is set to deliver me a Spiller and Burr revolver today! I can't wait to get home from work!

I have become convinced that convenience is the main reason people stopped using c&b. We know that many continued to use these c&b guns long after cartridges were available. I can only conclude that these are weapons with more effectiveness in the field than impressive numbers on paper.
