I just got one of these from Botac.com. The original deal was the 6 volt blackhawk falcata for 39.99, which I thought was a great deal. It was a couple days behind, so I emailed asking *** was up with the order. I got a reply saying that the 6 volt was out, and that they can send me a 9 volt instead. I found the 9 volts on other websites for over a hundred bucks, so not a bad deal for 40 bucks. The only thing I got jipped on from them was that I ordered 2 weeks ago with the 3 day air, and the modulock holster I ordered with it didn't have the retention strap in the package. Good deal?

Considering Botach's history, I'd consider you lucky. Other people have ordered flashlights, received socks, and never had a call answered or returned from Botach. I had a crummy experience with them too.

As far as the deal goes, I'd say it worked out in your favor. Don't worry about the retention strap, the Mod-U-Lok holds my Gladius just fine without it. It was mostly in the way, so I just took mine off. All it is is a little rubber tab anyways; I have my doubts that it would retain your light if something/someone grabbed your light hard enough to pull it out of the holster.
