My few ruger blackhawk sights are kinda hard to see as is . Anyone have a way to color them out with a paint that is durable and will not remove easily after drawing from the holster many times?

Nail polish

I have used red nail polish for years, Cheap and very easy to re-apply if needed. Plus the brush is included in the bottle.
White is a little harder to find but its there if you look hard enough.

I just put masking tape either side of the sights and then paint it on the ramp. Works great for me!

Your gunsmith can install a red, or orange inlay like S&W uses on their front sights. (And which I remove)

Actually, many colors, bright white, ivory, lime green or practically any flavor you prefer.

You can make the colors brighter by putting a layer of white paint down first, letting it dry over night, and then your color of choice over that. Finish with a thin coat of clear nailpolish to protect it.

+1 - I always put down 1-2 coats of white testor's paint first, and then followup with a bright red, orange, or luminous paint color after, followed by a clear coat.

I used this marker in medium tip http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/white-fine-tip-paint-markers-2-pack-403097/ So far it has been weather resistant and stood up well. I used this on a statue I have to cover up a hairline crack. It’s been outside in the sun for almost a year with no adverse effects which might give you an idea of how durable the marker is although the statue is marble and not metal. In the past I tried nail polish, etc but this seems to work better for me. Any errant marks can be removed with acetone and, if the color doesn’t work for your eyes, you can remove it and try another color.

i get auto touch-up paint in the auto section at walmart. so far, i have used white, gold, and fluorescent pink on my guns.

Go to your bait and tackle shop, and pick up some fishing lure paint.
The colors are intense. And the paint is a bit pricey, but it's durable.
And always put down a first coat of white.

I have been using Testor's enamel in brilliant yellow for years and it does the job for me. I take a toothpick and place a small drop on the center of the front sight. It stays on for quite a while (usually just gets dirty and then is replaced)
