Back in the early 90's, I was blessed to have my pristine 1984 Mazda RX-7 stolen out in front of my home. The thieves got a bonus, for under the seat was a Sig P-220 pistol. The police found the car in the next county...stripped to the bone. Oh...they also took the gun!! I was devastated! Beautiful car...and a firearm that I loved to shoot.
Fast forward to last week! I was down at a local gun shop in Pinellas, Fl. and was in search of another .45 cal to add to my collection. I stumbled upon this one Sig P220...and it was the old German production vintage, made in 1992. The same year my car was stolen. No...it was not the same gun. This one had a box and all documents and plastic. I paid up for it for it was in almost BRAND NEW shape.

No scuffs...dings...chips....abrasions...NUTTIN'!

This weekend..I took it to the range for a little play time! All I gotta say is "WOW!" What a firearm! This is a DA/SA pistol, and after my first shot...the 2nd one fired with hardly ANY pull at the trigger. It caught me off guard and I ended up limp wristing it. I wasn't used to the super light trigger! What I will say is that the pistol is super accurate! Once I had the trigger down, it ended up being a blast to shoot! I was impressing myself with the results! I thought that I was pretty accurate with my Kimber, but this Sig beats it hands down for accuracy!
What a piece of history and quality this firearm is!
