Ran onto not one but two first generation Colt SAAs last week. One in 38 Special is a mix of parts but frame, grip frame, etc numbers match. Real pearl grips. Been polished to death. But I got it with a 32WCF that is really good condition but without finish. I'm usually a big caliber guy but when opportunity strikes....

Shot a little video.

Were as young and spry as you are (smile) I'd be hard pressed to pass up two 1st Gen Colts. Particularly that 32 WCF, which appeared to function and fire just fine. Now ya need to put it on paper and find out exactly where that filed down front sight puts things.

And I must commend you for shooting black powder 38 Specials in that black powder framed Colt. Far too many people think it's just fine to shoot light smokeless powder loads in old Colts made in the BP era. Unless they know the entire history of those guns they have no idea what stresses the frame has been subjected to, and no idea if a microscopic crack is about to let go.

Best of luck getting the long barrel gun fixed and finding POA/POI on the 32.
