Bond Arms Derringer questions

I have to agree about the trigger pull, it's in a class by itself. And, as if the required hammer cock isn't enough, it's got a safety to boot.

Perhaps the gun's form factor contributes to the trigger pull; not enough real estate to harness leverage.

I've had an American Derringer Model 1 in 45LC/.410 for 21 years now. It's close to what you have. They are a novel fun gun to shoot. I had my 45LC rounds loaded in black powder which really tames the recoil. Touch that off and its better than the 4th of July. I get pretty good accuracy out to about 10 yards with the 45 LC and the .410 .000 buck. Field shot will make short work of snakes out to about five yards.

Its a close range gun with a historical flavor. Hope you enjoy the Bond as much as I have my American derringer. You do have the option of changing barrels.

diddo on Classified00, I've got the 45/410, .357 and 40 s&w barrels . I love it ,easy to carry and not once have I had it not fire when I pulled the trigger . I probably shoot it as much as my 22. But hey, I collect tc contender barrels too.
There are some pretty nasty 410 self defense loads out there now and it doesn't bother me a bit to use it as a concealed carry gun.

I bought one of these little gems a while back and I love it. I have a 44 special, and a .357mag barrel for it. Full house .357mag stings the hand to shoot, and produces one hell of a fireball. With 44special and 38special it is both pleasent and fun to shoot. My next purchace for it is the 45colt/410 in the 4 inch barrel.

The one goofy thing with them is the trigger. The trigger must be pulled DOWN, not back. once you get used to that, you will fall in love with the gun.
