I hardly ever watch television except for just a few sporting events. Last night, however, I decided to try and find an outdoor channel that a friend at work was telling me about.
While going through the channels I saw Joe Biden’s face and stopped my search long enough to see him laughing and chatting with Jay Leno. It was more or less an early victory celebration.
Then it dawned on me. The crap I was watching was what most people in this country perceive as reality. The mighty CBS, NBC and ABC are the guiding light of the modern culture in America .
I changed the channel again only to see John McCain being humbled and laughed at by David Letterman and a bunch of other nuts in New York .
The next station was airing a speech by Obama (spell check keeps insisting that his name is Osama) that set him up as a great orator having the charm and wit you would expect from a professional entertainer. Well, go figure. He knows how to play the part and that is why he is where he is today.
I’m sure I am not the first to tell but it sure looks like Spanky and Buck Wheat are fixin’ to wup the daylights out of Jed Clampit and Daisy Mae. This may be an archaic comparison of characters but please bear in mind that I am ignorant to the modern Tele World personalities.
If this election goes the way it looks like it will then the Unite States of America will surely be entering a new era.
