Can some of you let me know about some good books to read about firearms?
Particulary something on the rifle (AR 15), history, techniques stories, etc...

I've heard the Jeff Cooper's "The Art of the Rifle" was a good one. Anybody have experience with this one?

I would also like something about handguns as well?

Sixguns by Elmer Keith.

I bought a used copy off of Amazon, fascinating book by a real interesting character.

I'll second the Keith recommendation

and add 'Big Bore Six Guns' by J. Taffin. Lots of pretty pictures and does a real good job with expressing love to revolvers.
Try 'Misfire' I don't recall the author, but an interesting, negative look at how the army and Springfield Armory have managed to screw the pooch for well over a hundred years with regards to the rifles we put in the hands of those that go in harm's way.

The art of the rifle was a good book, with great pictures. For all the "literature" on guns, very little is mentioned on HOW to use them.

Honestly though some of the best info ive found is on the net, including this very board.

"The High Power Rifle" By David Tubb, if you're into competitive shooting or just want become a better shooter.

"The Competitive AR15" by Glen Zediker

Scott Duff's and Jim Thompson's books on the M1 Garand.

"The Art of The Rifle" By Jeff Cooper. Good all around gun book.

Anything by Jack O'Connor.
