A while back I came across a website that offered boron nitride gun coatings in a varity of colors. I think the name was Diamond Coat/Cote/Kote. Supposed to be anti-scratch/anti-abrasion/anti-corrosion/anti-anti, etc. Now, for the death of me I can't find the site. Google proved worthless in this instance

If there's anyone here who knows what I'm talking about that could provide a link, I'd be very grateful. Alternatively, if anyone can offer an opinion of boron nitride gun coatings of any brand, regarding appearance, functionality, and customer service of their respective companies, that'd be great too.

Thanks in advance!

You might want to do a search here as well as on thefiringline.com. Use the word "boron," and the username ArmySon. Filter using posts by ArmySon, not threads started by ArmySon.

He had a photo of a beautiful pistol with a boron finish. I can't remember if he gave any more details, though.

Try Secoa Technology in Dalton, GA. 706-272-0133

AT a recent gun show they had some impressive coatings on a variety of weapons. I believe one of the coatings was Diamond Kote.

Seems to be more lubricant than protectant but works at high temps. It depends on which allotrope is used there are three with one being "white graphite" and the other two being exceptionally hard.

Caswell's has a kit for Boron Nitride Electroless Nickel couples the 'white graphite" allotrope with nickel and should be a nice finish.
