Obsolete military arms are worth their value as scrap. That is about it.

There are very few nations which allow private ownership of firearms, the US being very generous compared with the rest. Even so, who are you going to sell machine guns to in the US?

There are literally hundreds of millions of AK’s out there, add up the bolt rifles given away in the Cold War, probably hundreds of millions of them.

There are so many and there are so few legal buyers.

I hope that my firearms are shredded after my lifespan is complete. But, I may live too long, the way things are going.

Sort of off topic but can bring a properly demilled parts kit with any special license in the US?

not all of those were obsolete. Hell, in the enlarged pic, you can clearly see an RPG-7

I dunno. The Taliban and Iraqi fighters have been making a pretty good show of themselves against the "worlds greatest superpower". While I understand that a modern military rifle will lay down more firepower and some with a bit more acurracy than a older bolt action or even older semis, to say they have no value, well I disagree. From the reports of discovered weapons caches of everything from muskets, mosins, mausers, enfields, sks's, beater ak's, and even some homemade rifles; the fighters have managed to pretty much hold us (a.k.a. "worlds greatest superpower") at bay in what is now the longest war this country has ever been in. They have no navy, air force, satellite imaging, drones, , advanced missle systems and yet they are still pose a very serious danger to our forces and the countries natural inhabitants . They have determined fighters and use guerilla tactics and use their knowledge of the terrain to their advantage. This coupled with the willingness to die for their holy war makes them an extremely difficult enemy to defeat. Their obsolete weapons have served them well.
This not to even mention the value of one of these weapons to a citizen in the area of a conflict such as africa or where ever. If you have to defend yourself and/or your family from the BG's, it sure works better than some rocks or a stick.

This is known as freedom and liberty.

Machine guns can be bought in the US.
I'd like to have one.

I hope that my firearms are shredded after my lifespan is complete.

No problem.
Send them to me. I have perfected a technique of making guns inoperable. I put them in my safe and religously remove them and wear out their barrel linings one round at a time. This may take some time, but I'm willing to help you out with your last wish.

But, I may live too long, the way things are going.

On this my friend, we agree.
