CRC Brake Cleaner in the red can is the same as Gunscrubber. Either will melt Steyr AUG magazines. I don't know if the rest of the Steyr is okay to use it one as I was never in a position to possibly sacrifice an AUG.
As far as plastics go, I went to a Glock Seminar a few years ago and the Glock rep recommended Gunscrubber for Glocks. I have used it and CRC red can on Glocks with no problems for years.
Keep in mind as has been said Gunscrubber or Brakleen will remove every speck of luibricant so lube well after cleaning.
