Having looked through a few books with no joy, I decided to ask here.
My digital camera is on the fritz or I would post pictures.
The 7X57 mm rifle is a DWM made M-98 in the long format, not measured but guessing near 50 inches. The receiver is in the white though it has a blued bolt release/ejector. It has S type rear sights ( flat not humped) Above the chamber is a five pointed star with the constellation of the southern cross in a central circle and “ribbons” one of which has the word “Brasil” (Brazil?) On one.
The rifle has a white leather sling that has a metal “loop” of sorts that allows one to tighten the sling by clipping that over a small hook on the nose cap/ bayonet lug of the rifle. There is an unsharpened short sword like bayonet with the rifle though the serial number of the bayonet does not match the rifle.
What’s it and what’s it worth?
Not likely to sell it as it matches my Brasilian marked S&W M1917 revolver.
