I know there has been much controversy about steel cased Wolf ammo. I could not find anything about BRASS cased Wolf Ammo.

Ammoman has this listed:
223 WOLF FMJ - M193
55 GRAIN COPPER
WOLF PERFORMANCE, SERBIA
BRASS CASED - BOXER PRIMED
NON CORROSIVE

for $279 / 1000

Does it have the similar controversy? Any experiences?

Thanks

From what I've heard, if it's "Wolf Gold", it's rebranded Privi Partisan, reloadable, not their own laquer-coated foulsmelling-propellant product.

And thus, from all reviews, decent.

I like the Wolf polymer-coated steel-cased ammo. I've fired a lot of it. From what I understand, most of the problems have been with the lacquer-coated stuff. These days, Wolf sells the lacquer-coated stuff under the "Wolf Military Classic" brand.

The Wolf "Gold" line is indeed Prvi Partisan ammo (Serbia). It is brass-cased and reloadable, and is by all accounts very good. It also costs a lot more than the standard steel-cased Wolf.

I don't know anything about what you listed, but it says it is from Serbia and is brass cased. There's a good chance it is made by Prvi Partisan.

The "military classic" uses different bullets from the old lacquer coated stuff. Ones that are designed for good terminal performance against live targets. Should make good shtf ammo.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking since it is listed M193, it would meet military spec.

It is about $60 more then Polymer coated steel cased ammo from the same supplier. I guess the reloadable brass might be worth that.

It also says it is packed in 200 round air tight rubber battle packs.

I was thinking about getting some for SHTF storage. But, I have spent so much on reloading recently, I think I need to hold off.
