Had a great saturday evening at the range with my new Taurus PT92 AFS 9mm.

I am pleased with my outing, I probably will do better after new glasses next week... we will see! This outing did make me realize my aging eyes and stubborness on the bifocals.... but it will happen this next week!

Targets 1 - 2 - 3 were at 25 yards with Speer Lawman 115 Gr. FMJ

Targets 4 - 5 were at 50 yards with Speer Lawman 115 Gr. FMJ

Target 6 was ammo change to Federal Champion 115 Gr. FMJ

Ballistics show MV for Speer @ 1200 and Federal @ 1125 very slight difference, but they did shoot a little different.

All were 5 shot groups. I am fond of the SB-2 Targets, I feel they keep you moving.

All in all not a bad day.... The rest of the day was with Federal ammo and after the change the next few targets yielded aprox. the same results!

Put about 200 rounds through it on its first outing....no problems at all. :)

That's pretty good shooting for those distances. I don't think I could do as well. I usually shoot at 10 yards.

Edit.....my bad!

Geez!

wbwanzer.....

I just came back to this post for something and seen your post and realized what I had put......:uhoh:

Targets 1 - 2 - 3 were at 25 feet with Speer Lawman 115 Gr. FMJ

Targets 4 - 5 were at 50 feet with Speer Lawman 115 Gr. FMJ

Target 6 was ammo change to Federal Champion 115 Gr. FMJ

Now Thats more like it! Told you I needed glasses! :)
Now not so impressive shooting , but I was still happy with the new gun!

I have a PT92AR thats probably pushing 5000 rounds now. Great guns, you should get a lot of use out of yours.

Does Taurus still put hard plastic grips on them? I swapped mine out with a set of hogue rubber grips. It was a well worth the $20. No need to change anything else though, its a good gun.

Yep! They do ! If there is one problem I have with Taurus it is there grips!

My PT 1911 has beautiful Bulls Head Walnut! Now why the heck cant they nice up the nines?

I got the pachmeyer signatures for it and they are nice!

I ditched my el-cheapo plastic panels and went with the hogue panels... much nicer to hold now.

You'd think they figure it out eventually :banghead: At least its an easy fix and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The pachmeyers look nice, I almost opted for those but wasn't sure I'd like the front strap being wrapped and didn't have an opportunity to see them in person before buying. I like the hogues though.
