Broke means never being able to buy any ammo.

Yeah being that broke is bad. Currently I spend weeks saving up for a trip to the range. When I get an extra bit of money I do my best to try and stock up on a few boxes of ammo. It’s great to open up the "safe" and see I have more than half a box.

Side note-

I had to live off of noodles alone for more than 2 months a year ago. It got to the point of Noodles or toilet paper and soap. During that phase while on campus one day attending class, I noticed one of those industrial sized toilet paper rolls on a bathroom shelf. (Because everyone knows you take advantage of other peoples restrooms so you can eat.) 4 hours later I returned and noticed the roll was still sitting on the bathroom shelf. A min or two later it disappeared. That stuff may be rough but man it lasts MONTHS in a home bathroom.

So I have heard.

Ahhhh.

Finally looked in my top drawer, and found out where some of that money went. I have a brick of .22 LR, 30 some rounds of .30-06, 50 rounds of .38 Spec., and a bunch of 12 G bird shot loads. Best part is, my buddies are coming with me, and bringing their toys, as well as some feed.

We're takin' a newbie with us, twenty-something friend of mine. I took him shooting once before, and he keeps saying he wants a gun. I think he wants a big revo. Let's hope he catches the shooting bug! I think he'll like my friend's Berreta Neos, and my other pal's AR-15 and SKS.

Peace.

I stock up on ammo before each trip, sometimes I buy a box or two of 9mm 100 rd value packs at WALMART every couple months, then when I have 500 to 1000 rds saved up I go to the range and shoot a couple boxes.

I cut down my range trips to conserve ammo, instead of going shooting every week, I go every two or three months. Sometimes I skip the whole summer and stock up on ammo, because I hate shooting in hot weather.

Probably won't help, but here's what I do.

Every time I pull a box or two of reloads off the shelf for a trip to the range, I "pay" myself the cost of a commercial box or two of ammo. The money goes in an envelope to be used for more supplies / equipment etc..

Sort of paying myself to reload, and I am my own (and only) customer!

Plenty of money for components now.
