Considering that Colt was MSRP-ing their VN retros for $23-2500, $1500 does not seem bad,
But, considering that all you are getting for the price is color-matched metal finishes, and full retro FCG & barrels (so, 50 & 55 FMJ), perhaps, not so great a deal.
All of which is sore nagging as I really want a XM177 clone, just not at the present price points (including DIY with associated tool costs). This latter subject to change. I mean really, the 1:9 barrel noted above, and a 6 position stock; while not prototype correct for XM177 would make me warm and fuzzy nonetheless.
