My mother has been wanting one of these guns for about two years now, and the local shop just got one in. It is, in fact, the owner's gun. He's shot it a few times, but it looks like it came straight from the factory. She called me up while I was driving back from Houston today to ask if $775 was too much to pay.

I told her to get it before he changes his mind.

So now after my father, mother, and I both took turns shooting it for the first time at an old box-fan box, I'm extremely glad she got it. Even though all the guys at the shop laughed at her ("What kind of shot will you be using in it, ma'am?" "Kind I miss birds with, I'm assuming.") in a friendly way that you laugh at all southern belles, she was grinning from ear to ear when she came home and showed us both. She had originally went to the shop to pick up a commemerative 1911 pistol that belonged to my grandfather, but she walked out with the owner's citori as well. Pretty good, I'd say.

So did she do well? The owner said he bought it about 15 years ago, shot skeet a few times, then put it up. He says that they don't make them anymore, and that he didn't know how much to really ask for it.

I presume it is an middle series Citori, given the 'fifteen years ago'. That price is very good if like new. That is a wonderful gun with a lot of class. They are well nigh indestructable from use. You have to worry about congealed oil in the innards however, and don't dry fire with out snap caps! Enjoy

Well I know it's maybe been shot twice, it's still factory-stiff and doesn't have a scratch on it. And I told my mother not to dry fire it, so everything should be good. I know I've seen used citoris in my area go for way over a grand, so I'm happy she found one like she did.

I bought one a few months ago for $1200. Honestly I could not find one anywhere so I paid the price. It is a wonderfull shotgun. You got a good deal.
