browning citori upland special picked up today

it was a stellar day today,i went to a small trappers show (fur trappers) and picked up 10 bags of 7.5-8 chilled shot and 2000 winchester 209 primers and three safe queens,a remington 760 first year 3006 in mint condition,a marlin 783 in .22mag in ex condition and the best for me, a browning 12ga upland special with choke tubes in mint condition with the box. eastbank.

Sounds like it was great day for sure! I have a Citori 625 Sporting and I love it. How do you think you'll like the straight stock? I've never shot one like that.

garystl, i have a browning 1976 bss sporter double barrel in 20ga and i like it, it,s a trapper show and has a small building and the rest of it is out side with vendors set up. most of the vendors sell trapping supplies and smell like skunks.i like the small shows and look for parts and shooting supplies, some times its a dry run, but was a very good today. eastbank.

East, nice score! I have a 20g browning BSS but what is a "sporter"? I've never heard of that. I also have a 12g BSS but the 20 is pretty sweet. Made by Miroku of course but excellent quality. You don't see them often.

Nice looking firearms! Congratulations! Love my Browning Citori. Mine has the pistol grip style stock, but all the same, it "locks" Browning. You can eventually wear-it-in; you can't wear-it-out.

BSS 'Sporter' is BSS with straight grip stock. While rarely seen Holland style SLEs are wonderful the A&D BLE guns feel clumsy and heavy in hands. The 28" 12ga 3" BSS sporter I handled recently must have been close to 8lbs.

Mine are both 26" with the pistol style grip. My 12 is an early 2 3/4" only. The 20 gauge is 3" with barrel selector safety.

my three other brownings,with the latest addtion. a 12ga BT-100, a 12ga citori, a 20ga bss sporter and the 12ga upland special. last night i left a younger trap shooter use the upland special and she shot a 17 with it. she said it kicked a bit,but she liked it. eastbank.
