I'm picking up the BSR40C this afternoon and I'm looking forward to trying it out. I'm a revolver man so this is my first autoloading pistol (aside from a Ruger Mark II .22 plinker).
I'm also new to the .40 S&W caliber.
I have 150 rounds ready for it; Federal Champion 180 grain and Blazer 165 grain.
Any initial advice regarding a compact autoloader or the .40 cal welcome.
Cheers

I was able to spend some time yesterday afternoon shooting this new gun. I put a little over 100 rounds through it. The first few magazines were the Federal Champion 180 gr FMJ ammo. This ammo shot flawlessly. It chronied around 930 fps and was very consistent (eg. 3+/- fps deviation).
I shot some Magtech 165 gr FMJ ammo across the chrony, it registered about the same but was very inconsistent (eg. 40+/- fps deviation).
The last ammo I tried was the Blazer NR 165 gr FMJ. It registered very inconsistent over the chrony at a little over 1000 (as high as 1028). That's when I started to get my first jams. It wasn't stovepiping, but instead, the empty cartridge didn't come out of the chamber all the way, as if it was hanging up on the case of the next round below it. It happened twice as I was rapid-firing the last magazine that held 15 rounds of the Blazer ammo.
I'm going to take it apart and clean it well and try again soon.
By the way I had to adjust the read sight for elevation, almost 20 clicks down to bring the shots into the bullseye.
Overall, very happy with the gun so far.

Both of the SR9's I have owned (still have one) shot high for me from the factory and I had to adjust the sights down. Although I haven't had any trouble with any ammo I have shot through my current SR9, I noticed that Blazer Brass ammo (115 gr) shoots about 1 1/2" higher than other ammo for some reason. It didn't seem to do this in my PX4. It might be a lower powered box of ammo?
