I thought courts/law system kept crim's guns?
In 1994 and 1995 four anti-government activists in Minnesota were the first people to be prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced to prison under the 1989 Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act. The four had acquired ricin, a deadly toxin, and allegedly conspired to use it to assassinate local and federal law enforcement personnel.
This weapon belonged to one of the four, and was acquired from a member of the family. I will NOT divulge the original owner's name to anyone except the buyer of this rifle! Included with the purchase of the rifle will be a report on toxic terrorism which gives a good synopsis of the case and names the four individuals who were prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced.
CONDITION: The SKS is in average + condition with rust darkening on the unplated bolt carrier and a tiny amount in a couple other areas. Most of the metal is in very good cosmetic condition. The bore looks nice and bright. Underfolding bayonet will be shipped with rifle, but detached. The original owner added a homemade cheek piece and a homemade wooden pistol grip to this rifle. He also added a 30 round detachable duckbill magazine. When the bolt is at the rear after the last shot, the magazine can be removed and another one can be inserted. (This rifle will not accept AK mags). Serial number has been covered for privacy reasons. all serial numbers match on this rifle.
If you intend to shoot ANY used firearm, have it looked over by a gunsmith first!
While it probably would be a good shooter, this rifle is an important historic artifact and should be owned by someone who can appreciate the significance of what it is and who it belonged to. You can own a piece of history for the price of an average SKS
