Did the title get you ?

I just got my Rattlesnake sheath and Buck 112 this week . I liked the sheath so much I thought that I would share some pictures . It has a 5106 carbon steel blade & oak handle .

While I was taking these pictures I saw my Dad's Buck 501 and my Case Mini Trapper laying there so I included them .

My stepmom just gave me my dad's Buck 501 after he died in Dec. . I never knew he had this knife because I never saw it before . The blade was in real bad shape from sharping , from what it looked like on a grinding wheel and it was very hard to open & close . I sent it off to Buck and they replaced the blade , smoothed out the opening & closing and polished it up for me . It now looks almost brand new . It still has some of my dad's character marks on it and I'm glad . She also gave me his Buck 110 , blade has some pitting marks on it , but I am going to keep it like it is , because it is not worn down . His made in the USA Old Timer 3 blade pocket knife , it has a nice patina on the blades . I got them very sharp , it took awhile because they were so dull . Last his Normark fillet knife , it was the only one in excellent condition .

Next is my Case Mini Trapper , it has a cv steel blade .

Here's a few other of my dad's things she gave me .

We just sold his 1983 truck last week and when that left the garage it almost felt like he died again . He owned a Texaco gas station / repair shop most of his life and bought that truck new . It brought tears to my brothers eyes when I told him . He was thinking about keeping it , but just couldn't decide if he wanted it . I knew I didn't want it , because I know something that old you are going to be working on it all the time and I am to old for that now .

Yeah , I have 3 110's now counting my dad's , but I think the 112 or 501 is going to be a better everyday knife .

My dad passed in December too, and I inherited a few knives and other things. Condolences on your loss. The knives he used when we camped, boated, etc., are priceless to me for the memories.
