So my buddy that has an older Buckmark and is always asking me to ask questions about it online for him since he doesn't have a computer has another question. He took his gun apart tonight only to see this where the screw goes into the barrel to hold it on.

To me it looks odd for sure and almost like the mill or something slipped. Is this normal? Are they all like this, or is this one a problem? Any negative effects to shooting it like this? Once the screw is tightened down it seems to hold the barrel on tight.

That's totally wrong. My Buckmark has a nice, cleanly tapped hole. It looks like something somewhere slipped. I'd kindly email Browning the photo and ask what can be done. They're a pretty solid bunch of people, every time I've contacted them for info/parts has been pleasant.

Though, if it doesn't interfere with the functioning of the pistol (i.e., it shoots straight) then I'd say don't worry about it.
