Can anyone tell me what the differences are between the sear spring for the standard Buckmark and the Silhouette model? From the pictures it appears as though they are shaped a bit differently with some different bends.

I guess my question stems from wanting to pick up a couple extras but I didn't know if there would be any advantage to putting the silhouette version in my Buckmark or if that would even work. Also, does that impact the Heggis flip modification at all?

Why does the silhouette Buckmark have a few different (internal) parts compared to the standard versions? What's different about that model? I was under the impression that all Buckmarks were functionally/mechanically the same on the inside. I know they can have different triggers but that they are interchangeable because I was planning to get and install the adjustable silhouette trigger in mine as others have done.

In case it matters I have a new Contour 5.5 URX Buckmark. If anyone can provide some info and insight into this I'd appreciate it.

I don't know about the sear springs themselves, but the Buck Mark Bullseye Target, Silhouette and Varmint versions have an adjustment screw for sear spring pre-load (reduces let off weight a slight amount). I've also read that the "Heggis Flip" does work on these models (well at least the Bullseye gun).

Greg
BTW; Welcome to the forums! :)

Thanks for the warm welcome and the information. Last night I performed a thorough cleaning and while I had it apart did the "Heggis flip". Trigger pull feels even better now but the true test will be when I shoot it tomorrow. I just recently joined a sportsman's club and have range/safety orientation in the morning. I am planning to shoot immediately after finishing it! :)

The guy who is running the orientation said that most of the people on their pistol league shoot Buckmarks so it sounds like I'll be in good company! Looking forward to seeing some of the other people's guns and see if they have them modded in any way or if they are largely shooting stock.
