I am in the process of getting my stamp, what buffer would you suggest for a 7" AR15 SBR upper?

Thanks,
Ed

i have a 7.5" rock river upper on mine and i just used a regular carbine buffer on it and it runs 100%.

I have a 11" SBR runs fine with the carbine buffer. Not sure with a 7" my gut tells me you should just try the stock parts first see if it runs ok before buying a bunch of unneed mall ninja crap.

I have a 7" RRA and it runs great with a carbine buffer semi, put it on an M-16A1 and it couldn't keep up, I guess it needs a 9mm buffer for full auto.

Try a stock buffer first. Chances are it will surprise you and run just fine. I ran a stock CAR buffer in my 7" SEMI for a long time and it ran fine 90% of the time. There were a few times that the bolt popped off the rim of the cartridge so I went to a heavy buffer and all has been well. I guess I just needed to slow down the cycling a wee bit.
