They should allow you in for both days for 9 bucks. Chances are if you see something and start haggling you aren't driving back home and back the same day. Thus there is a lot of lost business when it now becomes almost$20 dollars plus gas. That could be 2 boxes of ammo, or a tank of gas.

It's $10 in Miami. Was $8 only about two years ago. I only go once per year.

They do allow you in both days for one price where I live and have a dollar off coupon on their website.

Are the people charging $9 getting rich? I don't know the answer but I rather have $9 gun shows than no gun show. If it is needed to keep it afloat I have no problem with it

CE shows suck around here. I only go to one particular location. The rest have gone down hill significantly.

I'm not there to buy hand-knit scarves, beef jerky, or candles.

In today's market, that $20 will buy maybe 2 boxes (not bricks) of .22LR. Or a tank of gas....... in your motorcycle.

Wish I could fill up the old minivan for under $60, or buy $9.99 bricks of .22 like a few years back.

But that's the point, prices are going up on everything, not just gun show admission.

Try the Crossroads of the West gun shows... $17. Yes, they are big shows held around Arizona, Nevada, and California. And some of the locations sock an $8 parking fee. Fortunately the small local shows are still only $5 or $6 with free parking. But like others have said, more and more of the vendors at these shows are peddling jewelry, pocket knives, magazines (The readable kind), candy, who knows what else.

I'll be attending the C&E show this weekend. I extend my NRA membership for a year at the door and get a free entry pass for my trouble.

Nine bucks is about what it costs to see a movie on Saturday, and the show is far more entertaining--even if I buy nothing. I know the price I'll pay for the things I will explore, and I won't be easily persuaded to overpay. There will be interesting people with similar interests, and I always learn something.

Pretty good Saturday morning outing if you ask me.

Scored some .355 JHPs and ran into an old friend. No charge for parking or entry, renewed my NRA membership for another year. Got to handle a few guns of interest.

Many of the gun shows here in the St. Louis area went into severe decline back in the late 80s/early 90s. A group of dedicated sellers took over and resurrected them, and now they're booming again. I can't honestly say exactly how much they cost now ($6-8, maybe?) because I really don't pay attention to that. I just buy a ticket and go inside. I rarely buy anything, because frankly prices have not been good for a long time, unless I encounter some rare find. I go mostly for the camaraderie with other like-minded people in the shooting/reloading/collecting community. I don't mind supporting them because I want them to keep doing this.
