Does anyone have any experience with the C-more Scout on a fixed handle AR? I haven't been to the eye doctor, but it's apparent that my 36 year old eyes aren't seeing 20/10 anymore. Is the Scout a decent option for optics on my current upper, or am I better off buying a new upper first? I'll be using it for lunch hour 200 yard plinking at steel gongs, and occassional 3 gun matches.

I have one of the tactical models on my flat top, I am quite happy with it. My eyes are not the best either, I know I need glasses, 200 is the max for me without magnifaction. In my opinion it is not the most rugged red dots out there, I chose it because it has the normal iron site built in (nice for backup on a flat top) and it is a colt thing that goes with the rest of the rifle. But I would recommend looking at the EoTech stuff if you can afford it.
