Cabelas Hawken and a new bullet
Been playing the the 320gr REAL bullets lately and love them along with their accuracy. Borrowed a new mold off a friend. This bullet however is a monster! .500 S&W 440gr mold which casts a .501" conical. With soft lead im getting an average of 454 grains.
Tried them out in my Cabelas hawken at 50 yards with 70gr Pyrodex RS, lubed wad. Superb accuracy for the first try with this bullet! I have it dead on at 50 now and plan on trying 75 yards possibly tomorrow. These babies should really put the hurt down on elk and bear.
