Lets ask her husband how he feels about having a weapon to protect himself and his family now. My wife knows how to use every pistol I own and any criminal that thinks she is an easy target has a major wakeup call if they try to make a victim out of her.
word.

Too bad this woman didn't have a father that told her that adults have to saddle their own horses and kill their own snakes. If she had she might still be alive instead of still waiting for the 'snake killer' that came too late.

What a pity.

Just a short word about Ca gun laws. Many of them are bad with some of them being totally over the top. But ironically Ca. does have a fairly strong castle doctrine law and has had this for a long time. This law may not be a strong as in some pro gun areas of the country but it is much better than you will see in places like NY. Ill. and Mass.

Someday, the lunitic fringe will maybe understand that being unarmed doesn't keep you from being killed.

I doubt it. That's why they're on the fringe. I think what we hope is that some of the masses will look and see that it's better to be armed and have a chance than to die on hold wishing for an overworked policeman to show up too late to do any good.

That's not a slam against cops. They have an impossible job to do in some places and until they get Scotty and the Enterprise's transporter, calling 911 unarmed is going to be a way to be sure your obituary gets the facts correct.

I once worked with a guy for several years. We talked, joked and shared several interests, but one day he started talking about how Michigan's new shall-issue law scared him with the idea of non-LEO carrying guns. So I asked him if he was scared of me? When he found that I, a guy he'd known for 10 years had a CCW, he became nervous and admitted that he was somewhat afraid of me...Now. He actually once told me he'd rather be killed by a BG than use a gun to protect himself. How does one reason with those without reason? Professional victims want us all to be like them...

She should have said she found some pot in her house. They would have had a SWAT team over in 5min. Sad story...

Living in a good town is no protection.

The sad thing about this story is that the crime took place in a good town. West Covina is an upscale area, with what is considered to be a low crime rate.
