Just talked to Camp Perry Competitions. For the first time in years they are bringing back Swap Day at Perry.

They have scheduled the first, during Small Bore prone, Sunday 26 July from 1900-2000 on the Beach.

They have not scheduled anything yet during Highpower, but I got the understanding that one will be scheduled.

I know people who used to show up at Perry just for the Swap Meet. I am glad to have it back.

Among the piles of glue covered shooting jackets, and worn out slings, there is always a treasure that you always wanted. Like that rare sizing die in 6.5 Krag Ackley Improved! Or a Freeland Palm Rest for the M52D.

So bring your Redfield Internationals and see you there.

Dang. I made 10 or 11 pilgrimages to Perry while shooting HP. As I remember there was a meet my first time in '91 and then they cut them out. As you say, I'll have to drag out the Win M70 commerative palma match rifle, half a dozen redfields, and the sticky glove to see if somebody can't live without them. A shooter's yard sale.....

I'll have to drag out the Win M70 commerative palma match rifle,

In my competitors package it clearly said, no firearms sales.

It must have been around 2001 or so when Ralph Green canceled the swap because of his fear that people would be selling firearms.

If you want swap meet to continue, don't even think about selling a firearm at Camp Perry.
