This is a question for anyone who has done some camping in the mountains of NC. I'm planing a trip with a couple of buds near the second week in December. We are looking for a spot in the Mountains that doesn't have all the cleared camp ground spots and all that RV camping. Basically we want to be able to get out with a pack loaded out and go from there.... Also I was trying to find a place where I am allowed to take a firearm. Most places I look say that it is illegal. .. Thanks
