Can anyone help date my Model 12

I just picked up a Model 12 Trap. Standard 30" barrel, full choke, pistol grip monte carlo stock. Serial numbers match. It's in at least 95% condition. It operates well, and shoots well - although the comb is just a tad low for me. I may sell my Perazzi ! (only kidding)

I'm curious about it's date of manufacture. Can anyone help. The S/N is 1,966,946
