everything (and I do mean everything - even the screws) has a serial number!
looks like stainless steel but do not take my word as gospel on that

Both rifles are in at least 95%+ condition for finish and wood.

Any info on either one will be greatly appreciated.

The first gun is the French Model 1886, as modified in 1893, commonly called the "Lebel" rifle, made at the French arsenal at Chatellerault. It is (if unaltered) chambered for the 8x50R Lebel, a unique round not the same as any other 8mm. Value, even in top condition, is only around $250, reflecting not the quality of the gun but the lack of American collector interest in French weapons.

"Oesterreich" (Eastern Kingdom) is the native name for what we call Austria, so the second gun is Austrian. It may be a Mauser Model 1871, which was made by Steyr as well as by German arsenals. A better description or good pictures might help in identification. The receivers of some Model 71 rifles were left bright, but the barrel was always blued. The gun is certainly not stainless steel, which did not exist at that time; if the barrel is bright, the original blue has been stripped, leaving bare metal.
