Carbide/Nitride Dies vs Case Lube

I use carbide pistol dies & give the cases a light spritz of One Shot. Not necessary but makes life a lot easier, especially sizing 9mm cases.

I also have started to lightly lubricate my hand gun cases to make sizing a lot easier. Since I tumble cases after sizing, no big deal, the lubricant gets cleaned off at that time. But a rag works too.

If I'm resizing just a few cases, I might not bother. A few is like 10 or so.

I've used isopropyl alcohol, 90% or greater, when mixing with lanolin because I had read denatured alcohol with lanolin does not work. But, since ReloaderFred recommends denatured alcohol, I'll have to give it a try.

90% or higher isopropyl alcohol is not the easiest to find.
Walgreens & Walmart both carry 91% isopropyl alcohol; it will be in the first aid section, generally on the bottom shelf because of the weight. As a side note, also works well in removing labels and such. As a second side note, will REALLY dry out your skin, so be careful. I'd imagine other pharmacies and big-box retailers carry it as well, but I'm only speaking from personal experience. I mainly use it for removing thermal paste, which is oil based, from processors in laptops and workstations. You can buy cheap spray bottles at Home Depot, Lowe's, and Menards. Always a good idea to label clearly, as well. Hopefully this helps.
