No doubt this has been asked before, so I apologize, but I did try to search with no success.

I have a Carcano M38 in 7.35 mm so I have enbloc clips for that rifle's ammo. I just ordered a Carcano 91 TS which is chambered in 6.5 mm. Looking for enbloc clips to use with that rifle I checked Numrich Gun Parts which lists a clip for "6.5 & 7.35" with the same SKU for both rifles.

Do both Carcano calibers use the same clips? Lucky for me if they do, since I can use what I already have.

I believe they are. Unless my brass and steel clips are abnormal, both cartridges load and feed from the same clips.

Keep in mind that if you are using repro Carcano clips for either cartridge, they may need some adjustments here and there before they will feed properly. Same goes with many re-popped stripper clips, but en blocs are more sensitive: just a slight variance in metal thickness from the originals can result in extra drag or looseness, or feed angle problems.

Yup same exact clips.
All the Italians did was neck up the cartridge and bump up the pressure a touch.

Thanks, guys. I don't remember if mine are repro or milsurp. They're flat black, steel I think, with "RR. M-36" very faintly stamped on the back. "Adjustments here and there" --- ya, been there, done that. All too often. But then, that's part of the fun, right?
