I ran about 100 rds of Co-Bon and 50 rds of WW White Box thru my Bersa today and was VERY pleased with the results. NO failures, jams, problems of any kind and exceptionally accurate in the 7-10 yd range.
I was also surprised at the low perceived recoil for both the Cor-Bon and the WB ammo. I had heard that the size of the gun and the blowback design might make it as snappy as some 9mm rounds. But personally I find it way lighter and easy to shoot than my G19.
My question is, how do other owners carry it. Its a bit big for pocket carry
(I have my P-32 for that anyway) so I'll be carrying it right-side IWB with a small leather hoslter from Brigade Gun Leather. Undetectable in shorts and t-shirt (standard uniform in Texas thru Oct) I figure I have found my usual summer carry piece for the forceeable future.
But do other owners carry it with the safety on or off with a round chambered. I'm carrying it with the safety on, but wonder if a stiff holster and the long initial double action pull make that necessary. The safety is one more thing to fumble with in case of needed...um...quick presentation.
Of course, the argument could always be made to keep your wits about you to the point where a fast draw isn't required but ya never know
