Case capacities

Although I've chased down several leads from Google I can't seem to find the case capacities of .308Win and 6.5x55 Swede. Hard to believe there's nothing on the 308. I found two for the Swede but they were both obviously wrong (30 and 80 gr. of H2O). So if you know the case capacity of either of these cartridges, whether cc's or grains of H2O, please post them as well as your source. Many thanks.

BTW, this is not critical, I'm trying to settle an argument. I also posted this in rifle country.

6.5x55 = 3.68 cc
308 = 3.43 cc

Lee list usefull case capacity, don't know if it total capacity or whats available with a seated bullet.

Ammoguide Interactive has case capacities in grains of H20 for all their cartridges. You may have to register, but you don't need a paid subscription for the info.

From QuickLoad, the numbers it uses for its internal ballistics calculations. These are in grains of water to overflow:

.308 Win (Commercial) 56.00 grains of water

7.62 x 51mm NATO (Military) 52.00 grains of water

6.5 x 55 mm Swede (SAAMI Spec, I think, not European or military) 57.00 grains.

If you measure LC 7.62x51, you'll find it's alot closer to 55 grains than 52 grains. My LC M118 brass measures between 54.5gr and 55.0gr of H2O.
