Can I lube a bunch of cases with the RCBS lube and pad and then store them in a bin for later reloading, or do they need to be used right away? I reloaded .223 for the first time today and found it much more time consuming than reloading pistol. I'm thinking that if I can do stuff in batches, it might get better, like lubing a few hundred cases for use later. Will it work?

If you are using RACB water soluble case lube, the stuff will last a very long time on the case. You can lube, and weeks later, size the case.

The lubes that are wax lubes, like Lee Lube and Hornady wax lube, that stuff will dry out. Once dry, it is very difficult to size later.

I don't recommend it.

I suppose it would work, but case lube on cases tends to get gummy feeling after an extended time.

It could be just collected dirt sticking too it, or it could be the lube degrading, I don't know.

But I do know if you use a case lube pad & RCBS lube, it's simple & fast to pick up a handful out of a big bowl and roll them all in one motion.

Then as you pick up each one off the pad to resize it, dab the case mouth on the pad to get some inside, and wipe the excess off with your fingers & spread it around.

Somewhat messy, but very fast!

O.K>! Time for the obligatory Imperial Sizing Wax crowd to chime in now! :D
