... And Shooting Spots.


I'm going to get on a plane Saturday morning to fly to Casper, WY for a job interview. I read the write-up in the other post, but haven't seen anything about good gunshops, and places to shoot.
By "places to shoot", I don't mean formal ranges. I mean BLM land where I can just go and shoot.

Well, looking at my map, it looks like there is some state land just south of the Department of F&G which also looks to be south of town on 220. There is a Sportsmans Warehouse there in Casper which should be a decent source of info on state and BLM lands. You should be able to get the Wyoming Atlas Gazetteer, which is a pretty decent map book that shows all BLM and State lands that you are allowed to shoot on.

I have not been to Caper yet so I can't give you any decent info, sorry. If you were coming to Cheyenne I could give info, take you out to some shooting spots that are open year-around.
