are there any books out there specific to the casting process?

I've been reading articles/webpages and looking at youtube the last couple of months on and off.

I guess I'm looking for the equivalent of the ABCs of reloading in the casting world.

I took a look at Amazon but nothing jumped out at me, quite a few books were old.

Thanks for taking the time to read ;) :)

Lyman's Cast Bullet Handbook is a must buy.

Read on castboolits.com (or .org) and excellent source for information similar to this site.

Join the cast bullet association and receive a free bullet casting manual. The book is ok.

The NRA is supposed to hAVE MADE A VERY GOOD CASTING BOOK SOME TIME AGO BUT i HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND IT MYSELF. (sorry about the caps)

As above, but the lee book also has some good information (and it's cheap!)

Also, the website above is:
castboolits.gunloads.com

It's long out of print but you should be able to find a copy of the NRA book, "Cast Bullets"/E.H. Harrison in Amazon's used books listings. Couple that with Lyman's excellant "Cast Bullet Handbook" and there isn't much else to know about "do it yourself" bullets.

Many thanks for all of the suggestions guys.

I have been lurking at cast boolits forum. I learn better from books and the casting sections in my reloading manuals while nice didn't really go into great detail on the process from a to z.

Per your recommendations I will get my hands on a Lyman's cast bullet handbook and Cast Bullets by Harrison.

Thanks for the guidance, it is appreciated.
