What happens if you get caught carrying in a place that says they do not allow it. I know federal property will get you screwed, but what about a mall or store? Do you just get kicked out and see ya, or do the cops get involved, etc.

Any one have a personal experience?

What constitutes grounds for accusation of carrying?

the grounds would be seeing the weapon. Problem is: they dont necessarily have to see it to get the cops to come in and bother you and find out if you really were or not. All they have to do is say "I think he has a gun", and you're in for the hassle

It is going to depend on the state. Unless it is a mormon church in my state (guess what state I live in:D), the cops will just ask you to leave or face trespassing charges. Even carrying in a mormon church is only an infraction, but if you get two of those you lose your permit.

It depends on what state you are in. In Missouri all they can do is ask you to leave, it is only after you refuse to leave that they can call the cops and charge you with trespassing. This is also the way the laws are written in a number of other states. I would suggest, if you get a CCW, you find out what the laws are in your particular state.

If your weapon stays in the holster in Idaho all they can do is ask you to go outside and disarm, or ask you to leave completely. If you don't leave they can call the police and file trespassing charges, however they cannot detain you for trespassing until the police get there. So if your gone when the police show up the police then decide if they want to bother trying to figure out who you are from the description the store (or whatever) gave.

I assume you mean in Massachusetts. When answering this thread please tell us what state your knowledge of your CCW laws apply in.

For instance. I live in Arizona.

If I was found in a restaurant that sells alcohol I would be asked to leave. If I refused, I would be in violation.

That is only applicable In Arizona. Other states may be that way too, but I don't know that.

Go figure.

Fred

I would like to know about MA laws. I assume they are the worst, as usual. I did not know the states were so different in this matter. It would not hurt to know more than just my own state and may help others as well, so post any state you are familiar with.

I plan to move back to Texas; what are the laws down there?
