cell phone gun

Yeah ... VERY unsetteling. Its only a .22 ... not really enough power for self defense out of such a short barrel if you ask me.

Would love them to make a .357 Mag version

Didn't the Israeli's use a bomb in a cell phone to kill a Hez Boulah (?) leader several years ago?

Larry, I think it was actually his hotel room phone... or something like that. I remember reading all about the cool techniques Mossad used to take out those scummy terrorsists. The bomb in the phone was one of my favorites.

[obviously translated]
ring ring... ring ring...
picks up phone "Hello?"
"Hi! Is this Mr. Terrorist Man?"
"No, would you like me to get him for you?"
"Sure, I'll wait..."(snicker snicker)
After a few seconds...
"Hello?? Who is this?"
"Hi! Mr. Terrorist Man, this is Tel-Aviv Travel Agency... would you like to go to paradise?"
BOOM!!

We did it as recently as November. http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48078

Of course now pointing a cell phone at a cop will get your shot a lot more often than before.

And it could be used as a defense if you ever shoot someone. "Hey he pointed his cell phone right at me and said he was gonna shoot me. Golly Bob! I thought it might be one of them thar cellphoneguns that they sell on the enternet. Guess it waddn't Huh?"

How about a belt buckle gun

Or a mini MagLite

unsettling is simply that effective spy ware should be, well,
less well known than the internet
and the entire anti-RKBA needs little more than such an
internet video to make OUR law-abiding-freedom-loving
gun ownership less secure

"You know THEY have CELLPHONE guns!"

"REALLY?? Oh my goodness, what if someone had one,
they could SHOOT people with it!"

"Yes! And plastic guns that you can't see on metal
detectors, like at the airport! People just shouldn't
have guns, especially if they can be hidden in regular stuff!"

"You are absolutely right! NO ONE NEEDS guns!
They should just ban ALL GUNS!"

Doc, they wanna ban 'em all anyway ... I say we have some fun while we still have 'em (or at least until we have to turn 'em against the antis ;) ).

Ive never actually seen one of these things in use before. To be honest i always suspected it was a hoax. I guess not. Of course as far as we know there may be only ONE out there. But i think its kinda cool really.

i may be behind (i usually am) but i found this video of an actual cell phone gun VERY UNSETTLING

I agree wholeheartedly. It is very unsettling that I cannot buy and carry a real concealed weapon like that.

In all serousness

1) What is the difference between "thunderwear" pocket holsters, fannypack holsters etc... to conceal a weapon right ? This is just another way of doing so i.e. hide in plain sight.

2) Do not worry about having something like this available. The antis are not limited to the truth, look at what they do to statistics and how many factual errors are in their announcements. Like the recently passed legislation against handguns that cannot be seen by X-Ray ( Forget the official name) , I think all who are on this board realize there are no such pistols and there never will be such a pistol ( Speaking as an X-Ray Tech who has worked in indistrial radiography ) That does not stop them from passing a law about it.

Besides I do no remember the exact classification but I believe that firerams like that are similar to a Class 3 with special taxes and registration.

Doc,

You know, it's hard to keep secrets in a free society. Those antis know about all our scary little guns. They just might not understand them.

It looks very impractical to me

It might be OK for James Bond or a terrorist but not for us everyday people.

It's clumsy.
It takes two hands to activate.
There is no accuracy since there is no effetive barrel length.
In anything larger than .22 recoil would be a problem.
Terrible for self defense since the BG wouldn't know if it was a real gun or not.
