Century CETME for $480.00, Worth it. Have very little intrest in the rifle but maybe some Houston native might?

Are they decent, hit or miss or piss poor.

With Century you never know.

Yugos=Good
Galil=Bad
WARS=Maybe

CETME=????

for $480 i'd pick it up in a heart beat. back in september, before this badness i couldnt get one for under $550. you can easily resell it for $600+

A properly built Cetme is a wonderful rifle.

I have one built by a well known Arizona based Cetme / G3 'smith.

These Century jobs run the gamut from "servicable" to "holy cow, how drunk were the monkeys - and did they bring the beavers in after hours?"

If you know what to look for when you go buy one, you can buy accordingly. If you don't know what you're looking for, I'd say it's a roulette wheel.

CETME == maybe.

If the bolt is unground, it's likely a good deal. If the bolt has been ground, you don't want to touch it because the receiver itself is likely out of spec.

Does anyone have phoos of Century hacked on parts?
There's nothing to really 'see'. This is why you take calipers with you when buying a Century built Cetme or G3.
