Changing Variant on Tactical

I just got back from shooting a HK tactical 45 it was the most accurate and comfortable 45 I have ever fired. I was wondering since I prefer decocking handguns I thought I read that on the usp's to change the various variants all you need to do is order a new safety lever and side plate or something from calssportingarmory.com. Which I think could change a Tactical from Var1 to a Var4 which is what I want being LH, other wise it would cost more money I think to buy a Var4 and add adj. sights match trigger and a gunsmith to fit all. Any comments or questions?

You are correct. You will need a new side plate and the new lever. It's not very difficult to change them.

When putting it back together, it does not seem quite right at first. The pieces appear to be just "thrown" back in place, but it works.
