Okay guys, my wife likes to shoot some shotgun once in while. She prefers semi-auto shotugns. She is small framed but recoil doesn't bother her much so her normal preference has been the 12 Ga. I'd like to get her a new shotgun but because I'm not sure just how much she will really use it. So I'm ready to spend a lot on one and as it is I'll have to have the stock cut down to fit her. I've been looking at both the Kahn, Turkish made shotguns and the Charles Daley. Both manufactures make semi-auto 12 Ga. shotugns. Unfortunatly I live in a small rural town and the one gunshop doesn't have samples of each.

Is there anyone who has experince with either or both of these shotguns, and if so, what would you recommend? It would be a typical multi-purpose shotgun used for both clays and bird hunting.

Any input would be appreciated.

I don't know anything about the Kahn but I had a Charles Daley 20 gauge auto for about 3 years. Gave it to a friend a few months ago after he lost his in a fire. A lot of people cut the CD down as being junk and granted they are no thing of beauty but that gun never faltered not even once during the time I owned it and I not only shot it a lot but treated it pretty rough. The Rem chokes fit the CD so they are easy to find at places like WalMart. It was a very light shotgun, easy pointing and for the cost (about $300 at WalMart) I don't think you can beat it. There is another good alternative and that is the Sam Walton Special Remington 1100 that WalMart is getting off their shelves. Nice gun with a straight English style straight stock. Started out at $750 a few years ago but I picked one up for $400 a couple months ago. Heard they had dropped down to about $350 if you can still find them
