Cheaperthandirt.com surplus ammo cans

I'm trying to find metal military surplus ammo cans, preferably 7.62mm cans.

Cheaper Than Dirty sells them, and they list them in "used like new to excellent condition."

Anybody buy these? Are they in good shape? Know anywhere else that I could find like-new metal ammo cans?

I wish I could find some that are in as nice shape as the cans that bulk American Eagle ammo comes in.

No gun shows in your area? Every gun show I go to has a half a dozen guys selling them.

Um, cheaper than dirt, rarely is, and their shipping, well, compare that to your local store, and I'm sure you can buy any number of ammo or range boxes in the same price range.

When I was looking for cans (but smaller ones than 7.62) I bought a few bulk packs at Cabela's. They are plastic but they are o-ring sealed and all.

Comes with free ammo.

Try your local gun show. I bought 20 cans (30 cal cans) last weekend for $7 each, and they were like new condition.

Buying cans and shipping them just doesn't make sense. Shipping is usually more than the cost of the cans.
