Chiappa 1873-22 SAA 22LR 4.75" 6 Black Checkered Grips 22 LR Revolver.
I saw these on sale for $145, any thought's pro's or con? I have a bunch of old 22 ammo and I don't really want to shoot it in my new S&W MP-15-22. I thought maybe I'd buy an inexpensive revolver to use it up and practice my plinking.
BTW; I bought the Ruger Model 96/44 for $350, needed a new mag, the one that came with it was broken. ($35 ) Pretty sweet little gun with a big KaBoom! Love it!!!

Nothing wrong with shooting old .22LR ammo in a new gun.

They are not the Cadillac of 22's, but there are functional nostalgic guns available in that price range: I have seen nice NEF Ultras with 6" for $150ish recently. I got an H&R for $141 (from the same company) because I wanted a 4". If you are patient High Standards occasionally go for that. They even have recessed cylinders. And Sears sold High Standards under another name that I misremember just now.

Used S&W or Colt or whatever can be pricey, but there are cool old 22 revolvers out there that are fun plinkers for around $150 if you are patient. Just watch GB for awhile. That's how I got mine.

I checked them out a few years ago. Junk. Completely not interested. Save up your money for a used Ruger Single Six. Much better gun, it will last a lifetime. That piece of junk will not.

Wait for a used Single Six or if you want a full-sized SAA .22LR, Uberti makes those too. Or you might get lucky and find an original Great Western at an affordable price. Or get REAL lucky and find an affordable used USFA 12/22.
