Just a quick question to those who either own one, or may know better than myself...In the add for the side folder stock it states that the stock "must be used with our minimum length spool forend" Looking at the picture, I cant for the life of me figure out why. The reason I ask is because I am getting one of these stocks used, and it does not come with the forend. I am going to be putting it on a Remington 870 wingmaster magnum. Any help or information anyone may provide for me regaurding this would be greatly appreciated.

The Remington forend will contact the folding stock when in the folded position.

I'd try to talk you out of it, but experience is the best teacher- and hey, you might actually like it...

Stay Safe,

Whats the bad part? The pistol grip? Its all I have now on my wingmaster...It wasnt really a problem until I went shooting and it was 40 degrees out, plus 30mph wind...and that whole lack of a jacket thing...But i do appreciate the concern :)

Whats the bad part?

L'il skinny butt pad, and a wire stock with a little piece of plastic on top (offset to boot) to try and get a cheek weld on when the stock is unfolded.

But if you like a PGO, it will no doubt be an improvement. It'll hurt more. :D

With stock pad removed, hollowed out nice and wide Limbsaver set in The Right Stuff silicone on an offset to compensate for the off set for a perfect cheek weld, they work better than any other folder THEN IMHO:D

Dang, I'll have to take a picture!

Just for grins...

Try to do some serious work with that folding stock, or any other PGO stock. There's a reason you're getting it "used". Same reason most don't use them.

I had to turn down the resolution, forgive the back ground!
