Jim Cirillo is well known for his gun and bullet theories, and had also developed a sight system discussed here:
www.goshen-hexsite.com/pdf/michael_conti.pdf

But, he apparently died right after this article was published (2007/2006, respectively).

Did anyone ever start producing these sights on a commercial basis? Anyone ever tried them?

I don't know that that specific sight was ever made for sale, but Warren Tactical sights are very similar in sight picture, I think.

I read through the part about the hex sights, I REALLY like that design. If any one knows any place that sells something with a hexagonal rear for something other than glocks aperture please share(I don't have any glocks) I might just have to look into machining my own if not. I want to buy a lathe/mill soon anyway.

Yes. And Prices being what they are and them being made of plastic I think I am going to spend the money towards the lathe mill I want and make my own out of something more robust. I have seen far to many dinged up or damaged sights to get one out of plastic.
